Blind Taxes

Several Years ago New York City Mayor, Mike Bloomberg, raised cigarette taxes as part of his anti-smoking crack down in New York city. His hope at the time was that higher cigarette prices would encourage smokers to stop smoking. This plan obviously did not work for those who are strongly addicted to nicotine. And of course Mr. Bloomberg knew this. His underline hope was really to just increase revenue for the city by breaking the backs of tax payers, as shown in his recent cancellation of the NYPD Academy class but yet finding the funds to hire more traffic agents to go out and issue more parking tickets.

All the cigarette tax hike was able to accomplish was to create a crime that didn’t exist before the hike. Bootleg cigarette sales. More and more, cigarettes are being driven in to the city from out of state, purchased in states like Virginia and Pennsylvania, where the over inflated taxes don’t exist, they are then driven into New York city by the van loads, fitted with a phony NYS tax stamp and peddled on the streets from anywhere to $4-$5 a pack. Way cheaper than the legally sold $7.50 Bloomberg packs.  These cheaper, illegal cigarettes are sold in most street corners the same way drugs are sold. This has created a headache for Bloomberg who uses police resources which could be used elsewhere, to crack down on a crime that didn’t exist before his greedy tax hike.

And now New York Governor Patterson is following in Bloomberg’s steps. He has proposed a tax bill which would place a tax on itune purchases, gasoline, beer, cable TV, drivers’ licenses, and non-diet soft drinks.

Whats next? Taxing the air we breathe? Are we going to be mandated to check into a clinic at the end of each fiscal year to have a pulmonary function test to determine how much oxygen intake our bodies produced for the year and tax us individually on that amount? Will those those who suffer from asthma  get a tax break?

The only other state which taxes Internet purchases is the long corrupt and semi-communist state of New Jersey.

Are you blind Governor Patterson? Have you not seen the crime that Bloomberg’s cigarette tax hike created? Your itune tax plan will only  increase another crime which already exists, Internet pirating. ipod users will find other illegal means by which to obtain their music.

Don’t you liberals get it? Higher taxes are not the answer. Stop breaking our backs for your mismanagement, corruption and incompetency. JP

The Islamic Threat

Below is an excerpt from a speech given by Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party For Freedom, the Netherlands, at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York introducing an Alliance of Patriots.

“The speech was sponsored by the Hudson Institute on September 25. Dear friends, Thank you very much for inviting me. Great to be at the Four Seasons. I come from a country that has one season only: a rainy season that starts January 1st and ends December 31st. When we have three sunny days in a row, the government declares a national emergency. So Four Seasons, that’s new to me. It’s great to be in New York. When I see the skyscrapers and office buildings, I think of what Ayn Rand said: ‘The sky over New York and the will of man made visible.’ Of course. Without the Dutch you would have been nowhere, still figuring out how to buy this island from the Indians. But we are glad we did it for you.. And, frankly, you did a far better job than we possibly could have done. I come to America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europe itself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The danger I see looming is the scenario of America as the last man standing. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe. In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: who lost Europe? Patriots from around Europe risk their lives every day to prevent precisely this scenario form becoming a reality. My short lecture consists of 4 parts. First I will describe the situation on the ground in Europe Then, I will say a few things about Islam. Thirdly, if you are still here, I will talk a little bit about the movie you just saw. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem. The Europe you know is changing. You have probably seen the landmarks. The Eiffel Tower and Trafalgar Square and Rome’s ancient buildings and maybe the canals of Amsterdam. They are still there. And they still look very much the same as they did a hundred years ago. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world, a world very few visitors see, and one that does not appear in your tourist guidebook It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration. All throughout Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighbourhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It’s the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighbourhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe. These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe, street by street, neighbourhood by neighbourhood, city by city. There are now thousands of mosques throughout Europe. With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule. Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take Amsterdam, Marseille and Malmo in Sweden. In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighbourhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities. In some elementary schools in Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims. Many state schools in Belgium and Denmark only serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear ‘whore, whore’. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin. In France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin. The history of the Holocaust can in many cases no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity. In England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighbourhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels, because he was drinking during the Ramadan. Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya, Israel. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization. A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in Europe. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century. Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The Pew Research Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France. One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Center for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. A Dutch study reported that half of Dutch Muslims admit they ‘understand’ the 9/11 attacks. Muslims demand what they call ‘respect’. And this is how we give them respect. Our elites are willing to give in. To give up. In my own country we have gone from calls by one cabinet member to turn Muslim holidays into official state holidays, to statements by another cabinet member, that Islam is part of Dutch culture, to an affirmation by the Christian-Democratic attorney general that he is willing to accept sharia in the Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco and Turkey. Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behaviour, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. Some prefer to see these as isolated incidents, but I call it a Muslim intifada. I call the perpetrators ‘settlers’. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies, they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers. Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Politicians shy away from taking a stand against this creeping sharia. They believe in the equality of all cultures. Moreover, on a mundane level, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored. Our many problems with Islam cannot be explained by poverty, repression or the European colonial past, as the Left claims. Nor does it have anything to do with Palestinians or American troops in Iraq. The problem is Islam itself. Allow me to give you a brief Islam 101. The first thing you need to know about Islam is the importance of the book of the Quran. The Quran is Allah’s personal word, revealed by an angel to Mohammed, the prophet. This is where the trouble starts.. Every word in the Quran is Allah’s word and therefore not open to discussion or interpretation. It is valid for every Muslim and for all times. Therefore, there is no such a thing as moderate Islam. Sure, there are a lot of moderate Muslims. But a moderate Islam is non-existent. The Quran calls for hatred, violence, submission, murder, and terrorism. The Quran calls for Muslims to kill non-Muslims, to terrorize non-Muslims and to fulfil their duty to wage war: violent jihad. Jihad is a duty for every Muslim; Islam is to rule the world by the sword. The Quran is clearly anti-Semitic, describing Jews as monkeys and pigs. The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behaviour is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. He advised on matters of slavery, but never advised to liberate slaves. Islam has no other morality than the advancement of Islam. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad. There is no gray area or other side. Quran as Allah’s own word and Mohammed as the perfect man are the two most important facets of Islam. Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means ‘submission’. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies. This is what you need to know about Islam, in order to understand what is going on in Europe. For millions of Muslims the Quran and the life of Mohammed are not 14 centuries old, but are an everyday reality, an ideal, that guide every aspect of their lives. Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam ‘the most retrograde force in the world’, and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. Which brings me to my movie, Fitna. I am a lawmaker, and not a movie maker. But I felt I had the moral duty to educate about Islam. The duty to make clear that the Quran stands at the heart of what some people call terrorism but is in reality jihad. I wanted to show that the problems of Islam are at the core of Islam, and do not belong to its fringes. Now, from the day the plan for my movie was made public, it caused quite a stir, in the Netherlands and throughout Europe. First, there was a political storm, with government leaders, across the continent in sheer panic. The Netherlands was put under a heightened terror alert, because of possible attacks or a revolt by our Muslim population. The Dutch branch of the Islamic organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir declared that the Netherlands was due for an attack. Internationally, there was a series of incidents. The Taliban threatened to organize additional attacks against Dutch troops in Afghanistan, and a website linked to Al Qaeda published the message that I ought to be killed, while various muftis in the Middle East stated that I would be responsible for all the bloodshed after the screening of the movie. In Afghanistan and Pakistan the Dutch flag was burned on several occasions. Dolls representing me were also burned. The Indonesian President announced that I will never be admitted into Indonesia again, while the UN Secretary General and the European Union issued cowardly statements in the same vein as those made by the Dutch Government. I could go on and on. It was an absolute disgrace, a sell-out. A plethora of legal troubles also followed, and have not ended yet. Currently the state of Jordan is litigating against me. Only last week there were renewed security agency reports about a heightened terror alert for the Netherlands because of Fitna. Now, I would like to say a few things about Israel. Because, very soon, we will get together in its capitol. The best way for a politician in Europe to loose votes is to say something positive about Israel The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees Israel as the aggressor. I, however, will continue to speak up for Israel. I see defending Israel as a matter of principle. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense. Samuel Huntington writes it so aptly: ‘Islam has bloody borders’. Israel is located precisely on that border. This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam’s territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War. The war against Israel is not a war against Israel. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been no Israel, Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming. Many in Europe argue in favor of abandoning Israel in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West. It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israel as proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can get Israel, they can get everything. Therefore, it is not that the West has a stake in Israel. It is Israel. It is very difficult to be an optimist in the face of the growing Islamization of Europe. All the tides are against us. On all fronts we are losing. Demographically the momentum is with Islam. Muslim immigration is even a source of pride within ruling liberal parties. Academia, the arts, the media, trade unions, the churches, the business world, the entire political establishment have all converted to the suicidal theory of multiculturalism. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a ‘right-wing extremists’ or ‘racists’. The entire establishment has sided with our enemy. Leftists, liberals and Christian-Democrats are now all in bed with Islam. This is the most painful thing to see: the betrayal by our elites. At this moment in Europe’s history, our elites are supposed to lead us. To stand up for centuries of civilization. To defend our heritage. To honour our eternal Judeo-Christian values that made Europe what it is today. But there are very few signs of hope to be seen at the governmental level. Sarkozy, Merkel, Brown, Berlusconi; in private, they probably know how grave the situation is. But when the little red light goes on, they stare into the camera and tell us that Islam is a religion of peace, and we should all try to get along nicely and sing Kumbaya. They willingly participate in, what President Reagan so aptly called: ‘the betrayal of our past, the squandering of our freedom.’ If there is hope in Europe, it comes from the people, not from the elites. Change can only come from a grass-roots level. It has to come from the citizens themselves. Yet these patriots will have to take on the entire political, legal and media establishment. Over the past years there have been some small, but encouraging, signs of a rebirth of the original European spirit. Maybe the elites turn their backs on freedom, the public does not. In my country, the Netherlands, 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat to our national identity. I don’t think the public opinion in Holland is very different from other European countries. Patriotic parties that oppose jihad are growing, against all odds. My own party debuted two years ago, with five percent of the vote Now it stands at ten percent in the polls. The same is true of all smililary-minded parties in Europe. They are fighting the liberal establishment, and are gaining footholds on the political arena, one voter at the time. Now, for the first time, these patriotic parties will come together and exchange experiences. It may be the start of something big. Something that might change the map of Europe for decades to come. It might also be Europe’s last chance. This December a conference will take place in Jerusalem. Thanks to Professor Aryeh Eldad, a member of Knesset, we will be able to watch Fitna in the Knesset building and discuss the jihad. We are organizing this event in Israel to emphasize the fact that we are all in the same boat together, and that Israel is part of our common heritage. Those attending will be a select audience. No racist organizations will be allowed. And we will only admit parties that are solidly democratic. This conference will be the start of an Alliance of European patriots. This Alliance will serve as the backbone for all organizations and political parties that oppose jihad and Islamization. For this Alliance I seek your support. This endeavor may be crucial to America and to the West. America may hold fast to the dream that, thanks to its location, it is safe from jihad and sharia. But seven years ago to the day, there was still smoke rising from ground zero, following the attacks that forever shattered that dream. Yet there is a danger even greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out in Europe faster than you can imagine. An Islamic Europe means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America – as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome, Athens and Jerusalem. Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe’s children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so. This is not the first time our civilization is under threat We have seen dangers before. We have been betrayed by our elites before They have sided with our enemies before.. And yet, then, freedom prevailed. These are not times in which to take lessons from appeasement, capitulation, giving away, giving up or giving in. These are not times in which to draw lessons from Mr. Chamberlain. These are times calling us to draw lessons from Mr. Churchill and the words he spoke in 1942: ‘Never give in, never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy’.”

Do Not Resuscitate

 

If you think this country is the only one who is bailing out failing companies, think again. Today China announced billions of dollars in bail out corporate handouts as they too jump on the bail out band wagon.

What ever happened to the simple days of Capitalism where supply and demand dictated whether a company succeeded or failed?

Anyone remember Woolworths, Korvettes, Crazy Eddies, Rickles, Pergaments? Etc,etc,etc.

These were all companies who could no longer meet the demands of consumers, so they went belly up. Nothing wrong with that. We as consumers look for two things when purchasing a good or service, price and value. This is the way it has been since the first automobile rolled off the assembly lines, and it is still the same today as the latest cell phones hit the market. NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

But companies don’t get this. Often driven by greed, over marketing, or market monopoly tends to backfire and drive them to the ground.

For a company or enterprise to thrive and succeed they must follow a simple formula. Identify the consumers need, supply that need with a good quality product or service at an affordable price and be a visionary, anticipate future problems and prepare for those problems so that when they arise, you can continue to offer your goods or services and overcome those problems.Be flexible. Its called “Providing Services 101”. Nothing complicated.

Lets take a look at our automobile market for example. GMC, Ford, and Chrysler are all struggling, discussing mergers, laying off workers, shutting down plants, and there are  whispers of bankruptcy.

Do we really need an SUV with multiple configurations, sizes, and extras during a gas crisis? Ask Hummer, who took their first Hummer off the market because of dropping sales, and is on the verge of closing down completely. Sure there is a market out there made up of jocks and pimps who need to feel macho by driving a vehicle which was intended for off-road driving (i.e. dirt roads, rocky terrain, and filming while chasing a pack of heinas  in Africa) on the highways and local streets of America.  But you don’t need to over saturate this market with multiple SUV’s. Make one good one, and stick with it. GMC has the Tahoe, Escalde and Denali which are in principle the same vehicle with different tags, bells and whistles. And that goes also for Ford and Chrysler. The Japs and Germans do it too but this topic is about America.

When a company over-expands to meet or over take a competitor or ignite a part of our consciousness which they think says “hmmm an Escalade with built in GPS and a restaurant finder, I really need that” they begin to tap into a market which exists at most in the lower 1%. When this lower percent’s needs are met, they continue to expand within this market, re-invent the wheel, and they forget all about the rest of the market which wants to keep it simple during a struggling economy. By the time they realize this, its too late, and they have to cut back. Unfortunately, those cut backs translate to lost jobs, for employers they didn’t need to hire in the first place if they had just stuck to the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principle.

I realize also that there are other mitigating circumstances such as health care costs and retirement which companies have to flip the bill for, but much of this can be alleviated through a re-structuring of our tax code and other Social Security investment options which Democrats oppose.

But a word to corporate America, PROVIDE WHAT WE NEED AND NOT WHAT YOU THINK WE NEED.

If you don’t? Then we will force you to conform to our needs and not yours, by not using our hard earned dollars to keep you alive in the game of monopoly. Ask Bill Gates. But, that’s another story ill get into another day.

It might seem doom and gloom when we watch the news and hear about closings, layoffs, acquisitions, and market drops, but in the end its all for the better. A forest from time to time deeds to burn down completely to re-growth with fresh brush. A smaller market, fewer companies and corporations means that we, the public will have a better quality of products and services to choose from instead of the watered down multi options available. This also stabilizes the market.

Yes, I know in some cases we need competition to drive prizes down and prevent monopolizing, but when this occurs, WE the people decide who we want, and those we don’t will just perish and not be kept alive through government intervention through bail outs.  Bail outs only make “big brother” bigger, and our tax bank smaller.

Companies like Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, who were created as a  secondary market during the great depression, to encourage greater use of the innovative long-term, fixed-rate, level-payment mortgages, grew beyond their original intent when they were privatized, their shares were sold to the public, and as a need to keep the share holders happy through growth and revenue, they drastically lowered their loan qualifying standards. So now, because of those irresponsible for getting into mortgages beyond their reasonable expectations of meeting, many will suffer.

But fear not, BIG BROTHER to the rescue.

If companies are on the verge of folding, closing, liquidating, merging, etc. Let them. Lets get back to basic supply and demand economics.

When the weak die, only the strong remain, better for everyone. Our Government needs a “Do Not Resuscitate With Our Takes” bill introduced in Congress. And We need it now. JP

How Can America Trust Obama?

With the presidential Elections around the corner, I am amazed at Barack Hussein Obama’s popularity. Are his supporters blind? Or is their hatred toward Republicans so deep that it makes them unpatriotic? That’s right, UNPATRIOTIC.

How can any red blooded American patriot trust or support a man who will not only refuse to salute the American flag or wear an American pin, but has historically surrounded himself with people who hate America?

Starting with his wife who just a few months ago stated that for “the first time” in her life she was proud of this country. For the “first time”? How did you feel about America before that statement?

And lets not forget Obama’s close buddy William Ayers, a well documented domestic terrorist who posed for his book in a photo standing on the American flag. A book which Obama endorsed.

And how can Americans trust a man who in an infomercial said “I am my brothers keeper”, yet his brother lives in a hut in Kenya and his aunt, an illegal immigrant, lives in poverty in a Boston slum?

Are his supporters blind, insane, brain washed by the media or all of the above?

How can a true American patriot vote for a Presidential candidate whose close associations are folks who hate America? And by his own admission in a 2001 interview, stated that our constitution is flawed?

GET OFF THE OBAMA KOOL-AID, check yourself into a rehab, clear your mind and keep Barack Hussein Obama as far away from the White House as possible. Nuff Said! JP 

Fixing Welfare

If you live in a large metropolitan city like New York, all you have to do is visit any cashier at the end of the month to see the long line which wraps around the dividers, making it impossible to use the cashier services unless you’re willing to wait a while. In my case, Ill come back tomorrow. I have no patience. Who are these people you ask? Americas Welfare roll. In New York, benefits come in at the end of the month, and unlike days of yesteryear’s where the welfare check and or foodstamps were mailed to welfare recipients, they are now electronically loaded into a Government debit card, and the recipient has to go to a cashier to withdraw funds. Hence the overcrowding at the cashier.

But this is not about crowding, I mentioned the cashier because when I see its crowds at the end of the month, they remind me of the corruption, wastefulness, and laziness surrounding the Welfare system and its recipients. 

The Government has tried to tackle this problem throughout the years with poor results. One solution is known as “Workfare”. This is a system whereby a Welfare recipient has to work a predetermined amount of hours per week in order to earn his/her keep and continue to qualify for Welfare. the problem with this system is that it creates a pool of free labor, adding to the pool of cheap labor known as illegal immigrants. If Workfare participants work for free, employers might not hire staff. There is no incentive for employers to hire people or create jobs. And many Welfare recipients have tried to circumvent being forced to work by faking a medical condition which prevents them from working.

So if Workfare does not work, what is the solution? While there is nothing one can do about the disabled, elderly and truly needy, or those legitimately looking for work in a market with high unemployment, there is something we can do to hold the abled body on Welfare accountable, and break the generational dependency once and for all. Here is my solution:

1. No added benefits for mothers who once on Welfare, continue to have kids. This solves the problem of Welfare moms looking to increase their free income by squeezing out babies like a flesh factory. And trust me, it happens.

2. Any Welfare mother whose child drops out of school, that child’s benefits are immediately suspended. This will hold Welfare mothers accountable and start penalizing them for failing or refusing to take a more active role in their kids education. 

3. Mandatory drug screening once a month. If you’re using your Welfare benefits to go out and feed your drug dependency then my taxes should not be used for that purpose. I would employ a three strike policy. After the third failed drug test, NO MORE WELFARE.

4. NO WELFARE for undocumented illegal non-US citizens. PERIOD! Can’t afford to live here? Who invited you?

5. And lastly, I would add an educational incentive. If you’re a young mother on Welfare, who is a High School drop out, I would increase benefits if you get your young butt back to school, get your High School Diploma or GED. For the increased benefits to continue you would have to, once a week, check in with your social worker and provide proof that you’re currently attending school or a prescribed course of study toward your diploma. Once accomplished, we can work on getting you into the workforce.

 

Next Stop, Medicaid;

Medicaid fraud accounts for billions of dollars from tax payer money each year. Particularly in New York, where we have the highest Medicaid expenses in the nation. Two types of fraud occur, from the recipient and the provider. 

The provider commits fraud when he/she submits a false, exaggerated, or duplicate (with different date) claim to the Department of Health.

The recipient commits fraud when he/she forges a prescription, obtains a duplicate prescription, lends out or borrows anothers Medicaid card or re-sells items or equipment obtained through Medicaid for drug money. Not to mention the abuse by those who love to hang out in hospitals to get a free sandwich, so they fake an ailment and use their Medicaid privileges.

 

Solution:

1. No private doctor operating out of a private medical clinic or a basement with a shingle hanging on the wall may submit a Medicaid claim unless its accompanied by that patients referral from a bonafied hospital emergency room with a verifiable unique doctors emergency ID referral number (such an ID number does not exist, but that can easily be arranged). A patient with an HMO cannot step out of their network without a referral, the same should apply for patients on Medicaid. ALL Medicaid patients should have to go through an emergency room, since Medicaid should be provided for emergency purposes ONLY anyway. Ive known cases where patients have used their Medicaid benefits to obtain cosmetic surgery.

2. Except for the elderly or disabled, ALL Medicaid recipients would be mandated to pay a $5 co-payment, for both hospital services and prescription services. Don’t have $5? Not a problem, they will be deducted from your Welfare check at the end of the month. This will put an immediate stop to the emergency room sandwich seekers, those slight headache cry babies, narcotic abusers, and will effectively clear up the over crowding in our cities emergency rooms. 

 

Are these solutions perfect? Maybe, maybe not, but they will go a long way toward fixing our growing Welfare problems. And I don’t see any solutions being offered on either side of the isle. Do they seem cold and harsh? Inhumane? I’ll tell you whats inhumane, the proud poor bastard working three jobs in the winter to keep food on the table for his family while a welfare mom sits back on the couch in the warmth of her Welfare payed apartment watching cable while yapping on her cell phone with  her girl friend about plans for Saturday night. And that’s reality folks. JP

Proposition 8

Next weeks election in California will include a vote on same sex marriage known as “proposition 8″.

This Proposition, if it passes, will eliminate the right to same sex marriage. And I hope it does. We don’t need female cat lickers and male bologna smokers who want to tie the knot, adding to the erosion of America. That’s what we have George Soros and Michael Moore for.

I’m not a homophobe, but something about two dudes or two chicks wanting to adopt and raise a child just doesnt sit well with me.  This gay marriage move, spearheaded by San Francisco, the gay Capital of America, has been gaining momentum over the years. Massachusetts made it legal for same sex couples to get hitched.

If Proposition 8 passes, I hope it sets precedence accross the states to do the same. Until the US Costitution gets amended to make same sex marriage unlawful, or an artificial island is built were all gays can go live in peace (and take PETA with you), California is a good place to start. JP

Prop 8 passed, and so far 30 states have adopted similar law. Lookes like gays who want to marry will have to find an island.

Now, I really don’t see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people… Absolutely No Profiling!

They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with
proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President’s security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim
Males alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

“This doesn’t come as a surprise”, Senator McCain was quoted as telling Fox News, following Colin Powell’s endorsement of Senator Barack Hussein Obama.

And this shouldn’t come as a surprise either,  to those of us on the right who have taken the “Red Pill”. You see, Colin Powell is not a true Conservative Republican. He is a RINO (Republican In Name Only). The signs were plastered all over the wall. He has been a long time supporter of abortion, affirmative action, Robin Hoodism (“spreading the wealth”), and fags in our military.

What does surprise me however is that he would make such an open endorsement, as opposed to pulling Obama’s lever in privacy and reserving his personal thoughts for those in his private circle. After all, wasnt it Ronald Reagan who made him a four star General? Wasn’t it George W. Bush who elevated him to Secretary of State? The highest cabinet position ever for an African American. In fact, President Bush has elevated more African Americans than Slick Willie Clinton ever did.

But as they say..”birds of a feather flock together”, so I guess loyalty for Colin Powell at least in this case is only skin deep. Yet he says that race has nothing to do with it. Yeah. And I’m the next Yankee Shortstop.

Mr. Powell had the cojones to say that “he doesn’t believe that Palin is ready to be President”, ummm news flash Collie, Palin is not running for President, McCain is. He also went on to say that he found “McCain a little unsure as to how to deal with our economic problems”, oh really? And what indication has Barack Hussein Obama given you that he can? Are you lobbying for another cabinet position, this time within Obama’s Presidency if he gets elected? How perfect this would be for our Domestic terrorism supporter, to appoint a “Republican” like Colin Powell to a cabinet position so he can then say that he has reached across party lines. Yeah, his perfect token.

Mr. Powell, you are a backstabber and a turncoat. We thank you for your service to this country. President Bush thanks you, and I’m pretty sure Ronnie is turning in his grave. JP

The Adventures of Obama Hood

“it’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance at success, too. And I think that when we spread the wealth around, its good for everybody.”

This is what Liberal Barack Hussein Obama told a Toledo Ohio resident, Joe Wurzelbacher (aka Joe The Plumber), during an Ohio visit this week.

Spread the wealth around? Spreading the wealth around translates to forcibly taking away hard earned money from someone and giving it to someone else. This is a typical Robin Hood mentality that is shared by hippies, communists, socialists, and liberals. Punish the wealthy, the upper middle class, those who became successful or are trying to become successful through hard work ethics and dedication, for the failures of the lazy, the contempt, and anyone who is fine sitting on their couch flipping through tv channels or painting their toe nails while they wait for government handouts.

If you belong to the millions who are out of work through no one else’s fault but your own, fear not, here comes Obama Hood to the rescue. He will champion your cause, he will make sure that your Government benefits remain safe and secure by gutting out as much tax as he can from hard earners, and small businesses.

And heaven forbid if you’re wealthy, because you will then belong to an evil empire that must be slayed by the liberal tax sword. Even though the wealthiest Americans account for the most taxes that go into Uncle Sam’s pockets. Liberals would have you believe otherwise, they will have you believe that the rich and successful are not taxed enough, therefor more needs to be taken form them, so that the poor are less poor, the rich are less richer and some kind of harmonic economic balance is achieved. This is similar to a school teacher who grades every student on a median, ensuring that those who failed an exam because they didn’t study and worked hard enough to pass, can achieve a passing score anyway by lowering the grades of those who did pass. In other words, By averaging the grades between a D student an A student, the D student will upgrade to a C+ and the A student downgrades to a B-. In the end, everyone is happy. The lazy need not worry so long as the hard workers continue to work. Spread the wealth.

This is Liberalism at its best. And who better to deliver the tax arrows through the heart of hard working Americans than Obama Hood? One of the most Liberal members in the Senate. JP

The Devils Triangle

On January 29, 2002 President Bush coined the term “Axis of Evil” to describe nations who sponsored terrorism. Those nations were, Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. Since then, Iraq is no longer under the leadership of the now defunct Saddam Hussein, whose birth certificate was revoked. And North Korea has been removed from the terrorist watch list after agreeing to dismantle their nuke facilities. Iran, however, still remains a threat, always has been and always will unless we turn that entire region into an ashtray.

let me however, add 2 other nations, to replace Iraq and North korea, and coin a new term, “The Devils Traingle”.

Lets start with the Soviet Union;

On Aug. 17, Russian President Vladimir “KGB” Putin announced that a dozen missile-carrying strategic bombers, accompanied by support and tanker planes, will be permanently airborne. Their mission: to protect Russian territory.

The question is…protect it from whom?

Putin didn’t name the “enemy” that posed the threat that led to a rearmament of such an air defense, but only one other country has similar air capability…the United States.

24 hour bomber missions is one of many recent flexes of Russian military muscle. Last month, Putin presided over a joint military exercise in Russia of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, a new club of dictators and semi-dictatorship regimes including China.  A communist reunion. I wonder who spiked the punch.

Also in August, Georgian officials reported that Russian planes had entered Georgian airspace and launched a missile at a Defense Ministry radar.  And earlier this year, the Russian leader approved a seven-year, $200-billion rearmament plan to build planes, missiles and ships.

In the 80′s, before Putin; Early in his tenure as general secretary of the Communist Party, Mikhail S. Gorbachev moved to end Soviet isolation from the outside world by integrating his country into the West. He withdrew Soviet troops from Eastern Europe, signed arms control treaties that dramatically reduced Soviet nuclear arsenals, and allowed Soviet citizens to travel to the West, and sign up for Block Buster Video accounts. The Cold War ended.
In the 1990s, in attempts to continue integration with the west, then President Boris N. Yeltsin pursued the same foreign policy goal with greater determination. He sought to join forces with  Western multilateral institutions as the G-7, the World Trade Organization, the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and probably PETA.

Yeltsin’s successor, Putin, also began his term sucking up up to the West, a policy course that gained momentum after 9/11, when Putin placed Russia firmly on the side of the West in the global war on terrorism.

But today, integration with the West is no longer a goal of Russian foreign policy. Putin is seeking to balance his and other nations’ powers against  the West and the United States in particular. I recall a few years back an incident in which Putin warned England against military exercise flights near Soviet Airspace. By Putin resuming strategic bomber missions, conducting joint military exercises with other countries and threatening U.S. allies such as Georgia reflect the fundamentalal shift in Kremlin thinking about global politics and constitute new potential threats to U.S. influence.

Putin has rebuilt a dictatorship  at home by undermining the power of regional leaders, independent media, both houses of parliament, independent political parties and civil society. At the same time, he has increased the role of the Federal Security Service, the successor to the KGB, in governing Russia and has politicized such state institutions as the courts, tax collectors and the police. Putin’s regime also has made it increasingly difficult for U.S. business and nongovernmental organizations to operate in Russia. As Russia turns its back on democratic values increasingly becomes a source of tension between it and the West, Moscow, in turn, sees less value in trying to cooperate with NATO, the European Union and the U.S.

How long before we begin Cold War II?

Next Stop, China;

Is China a military threat? Hardly. In recent years, China has indeed increased its military spending. But much of the additional expenditures have been devoted to upgrading information, weapons, and communications systems. At the same, China has cut troop strength to almost half of what it was in 1990.  Moreover, the estimate of military expenditures for 2006 is $35 billion. That is about 7% of the U.S. defense budget, once the costs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are factored in. . I’m not concerned about China’s ground troop levels since most are busy patrolling their border, and we would not engage them on the ground unless they try to invade us through our U.S./Mexican border. I definitely wouldn’t worry about their Naval forces, last I checked they don’t even have an aircraft carrier.

However…they can cripple us economically;

The emergence of China as a major economic superpower has raised concern among many U.S. policymakers. Some express concern that China will overtake the United States as the world’s largest trade economy in a few years and as the world’s largest economy within the next two decades. In this scenario, China’s rise is viewed as America’s relative decline. Another concern are the large and growing U.S. trade deficits with China, which have risen from $10.4 billion in 1990 to an estimated $232 billion in 2006, and are viewed by many Members as an indicator that China uses unfair trade practices  to flood U.S. markets with low-cost goods restrict U.S. exports. Such practices threaten American jobs, wages, and living standards. Many warn that this situation will get worse as China increasingly moves toward production and export of more high-value products, such as cars and computers. Not to mention their cloning of U.S. products such as the iphone, achieved trough reverse engineering. A more recent concern has been efforts by Chinese state-owned firms to acquire U.S. companies and China’s accumulation of U.S. Treasury securities.
Negative congressional perceptions of China’s economic practices have led to the introduction of numerous bills, including some that would impose sanctions against China unless it reforms its currency policy of using monopoly money and others that would apply U.S. counteracting laws on Chinese products.

When was the last time you purchased a product that did not have the “Made In China” satmp on it? Imagine if China pulled the plug, how much would it hurt? Economic Cold War? Think our market is plummeting? you ain’t seen nothing yet. Beware the Fu Man Chu.

Last stop…Iran;

Back in April, violence in Basra and Baghdad  convinced the Bush administration that actions by Iran, and not al-Qaeda, were the primary threats inside Iraq, and  sparked a broad reassessment of policy in the region, according to senior U.S. officials.

Evidence of an increase in Iranian weapons, training and direction for the Shiite militias that battled U.S. and Iraqi security forces in those two cities has fixed new U.S. attention on what Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates called Tehran’s “malign” influence, the officials said.

The intensified focus on Iran coincides with diminished emphasis on al-Qaeda in Iraq as the leading justification for an ongoing U.S. military presence in Iraq.

When did our beef with Iran, formerly known as Persia, begin? It began during the 1970′s Iran revolution.
On February 1, 1979, exiled religious leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini returned from France to assume control of the revolution and established himself as Supreme Leader of a new, theocratic republic guided by Islamic principles.
His regime sparked the infamous “Iran-Contra  Affair”.  The Iran-Contra affair was a political scandal which was revealed in November 1986 as a result of earlier events during the Reagan administration. It began as an operation to increase U.S.-Iranian relations, wherein Israel would ship weapons to a moderate, politically influential group of Iranians opposed to the Ayatollah Khomeini; the U.S. would reimburse Israel for those weapons and receive payment from Israel. The moderate Iranians agreed to do everything in their power to achieve the release of six U.S. hostages, who were being held by Hezbollah. The plan eventually deteriorated into an arms-for-hostages scheme, in which members of the executive branch sold weapons to Iran in exchange for the release of the American hostages, without the direct authorization of President Ronald Reagan. Large modifications to the plan were conjured by Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North of the National Security Council in late 1985. In North’s plan, a portion of the proceeds from the weapon sales was diverted to fund anti-Sandinista and anti-communist rebels, or Contras, in Nicaragua.  While President Ronald Reagan was a supporter of the Contra cause, there has not been any evidence uncovered showing that he authorized this plan. Although Olive North was hailed as a hero by many.

Since the hostage scandal, Iran has been under our radar. And now with the threat of nuclear armament, Iran has shot to the top of our top 3 rogue nations to be concerned with, in my opinion.

These 3 nations combined provide for the perfect storm..a triple threat, an economic, military, and nuclear triangle unlike we’ve ever faced before.

Now its not the time to have Barack Hussein Obama leading our country. He is the key that the Devils Triangle needs to open the door to our back yard with horrific consequences. JP
